Producer April Kennedy has an extensive background within the film industry from concept creation to production and talent management spanning nearly two decades. With her passion to see dynamic and thought-provoking projects shepherded from script to screen, April and husband Dan Kennedy (former FBI Acting Assistant Director) founded Ocean Prairie Entertainment. OPE fully develops and produces original content for feature films and television earning credits as Executive Producer, Producer and Line Producer. As Ocean Prairie Entertainment has begun to scale, they have expanded their reach to include the acquisition of ground-breaking IP.
Currently, April and her Ocean Prairie Entertainment team have access to the FBI Vault of FBI HRT Missions dating back to the creation of this “tip of the spear” Unit of the top 1% of elite teams within the Bureau and the untold stories of their high-stakes missions. OPE is also developing several feature films including action / thrillers Alabama Bunker and Circuit as well as upcoming inspirational bio drama Finding Normal for 2025. For television, OPE is developing scripted FBI action / drama series HRT: Hostage Rescue Team alongside several unscripted series including Shadow Boxing and a music-driven docuseries HitMaker.

DAN KENNEDY
Producing Consultant Dan Kennedy is a proven collaborative leader. After serving over 30 years in law enforcement both as a police officer and retiring as a Senior Executive in the FBI, Dan has stepped into the private area as the Vice President, Security – Disney Signature Experiences. Dans role oversees Security for National Geographic (Editorial), Adventures and Expeditions, Disney Vacation Club, Storyliving by Disney, Disney Cruise Line, and the Disney Institute. With Dans extensive executive managerial success, he began leveraging his network of domestic and foreign partnerships to serve as both an ambassador and liaison on an array of slated projects with Ocean Prairie Entertainment. His 20 year career with the FBI lead to a number of positions throughout carious field office and FBIHQ including the Directorate of Intelligence, the Counterterrorism Division, and International Operations Division (IOD). In IOD, Dan served as the executive overseeing all Europe and Eurasia Legal Attache’ operations, including counterterrorism and transnational organized crime. This has made him an incredible asset for Ocean Prairie Entertainment and the film industry.
With his impressive career as a federal agent and now in the private sector, Dan brings unmatched insight into each project on the Ocean Prairie slate of features and series, ongoing relationships with his former colleagues for continued support. Known for his ability to lead and develop people, Dan stood out as a collaborative partner among both domestic and international agencies Drawing from this experience, Dan has provided insight as an industry expert consultant on several projects involving the full scope of development to ensure detailed understanding and authenticity.
